Giving the body of Christ a chance to serve by blessing Nanumi and the homeless
Beginning in 2009, NHM Homeless Outreach partnered with Dream City Homeless Shelter to go out and feed the homeless as well as having seasonal projects.
Starting in 2021, NHM Homeless is partnering with Nanumi to continue to feed the homeless in a different format.
What To Expect
Nanumi works together with a soup kitchen a few minutes’ walk away to efficiently feed many people in the Seoul Station area. Volunteers are needed to load/unload material into the truck, clean dishes and containers, and serve the food.
Nanumi takes many precautions to protect against the coronavirus. All volunteers are to bring a KF94 mask and wear it at all times. If you have recently come from abroad, you need to have a total of three (one more than the government requirement) negative tests, one of them coming after the end of quarantine. Upon entering the soup kitchen, everyone has their temperature checked and hand sanitizer is used frequently. As of the writing of this section, the homeless are required to test negative for COVID to eat inside (otherwise they are given a sandwich).
Getting a Spot
Due to COVID, as of the writing of this section Nanumi wants no more than 10 volunteers on a given day. Additionally, Gospel City Church, CityLight Church, as well as other English ministries are also providing volunteers. The overall effect (currently) is that spots are quite limited. Please contact us, and check our Facebook page for any updates.
For Community Groups
Community Group leaders who are interested in our ministry for their outreach event should contact us at the email address below. We cannot guarantee a spot, so please email early and keep your options open.
