Acts 1:12-26 Hope-“Fully” Devoted

We have begun our new series in the book of Acts. This Sunday Pastor Doug asks the question: What are you devoted to? Why are you devoted to it? What is the fruit/outcome of that which you are devoted too? And as we ponder that question we look at Acts 1 and see what the earlier believers were devoted to, why they were devoted to it – and what was the spectacular outcome to their devotion. If our devotions are founded on that which (whom) is worthy of the devotion, then you can expect life/church/society to be transformed amazingly.

Guilt: to Hide or Run?

Every person feels guilt. Some because of actual offenses committed against others, and some because of false expectations placed upon them or inadequate abilities to accomplish tasks. Guilt can cause physical stress and ailments, emotional struggles, relational divisions and above all separation from God’s love and healing. Listen as Pastor Doug shares from God’s Word on how since the fall of Adam and Eve, mankind has had and felt guilt. We have been hiding from God, blaming others, and other times just trying to ignore it. However, these do not remove guilt, rather we can run to God and find complete forgiveness for our sins, and freedom from guilt.

The Power of Forgiveness!

There are so many opportunities in life to build up and bless others. However, we are often hurt, even by those who are the closest to us and supposed to protect and love us. These hurts turn into pain, into anger, into hatred, and often times even though those who have hurt us go on with their lives we still suffer with the inner turmoils of pain. Listen as our own Pastor Jeanne Kim shares how God brought healing to her heart, and how we can all walk in the Power of forgiveness because of Christ’s forgiveness to us!
